Hello from the home front, Carey here, took the day off today to catch up on computer learning and stuff. I love sittin here in my jammies and still be able to communicate with ya. Just looking back on Super Bowl Sunday, I enjoyed the company of lots of friends out at the farm, Thanks to my host/friends Keith and Alisa. Too much fabulous food, just the right amount of friends, dogs and fun. I had a connection with both teams. Back in the early eighties, my then morning show partner Steve Cooper and I were working at WFBQ in Indianapolis, he and I were chosen to do play by play and color for the then farm club of the Baltimore Colts as they ventured into Indianpolis. For the first season Coop and I had a ball, he did the play by play and I got to call the color comments on the action on the field. So I had a spot in my heart for them, but…I, like so many others that have a more emotional way of choosing sides, like the underdog and especially when it was the hard hit city of New Orleans. I was very happy to see that they won. What a great game, even by the standards of this not very rabid sports fan. I enjoyed watching the Who at halftime, I can’t tell you how many of their “farewell” tours I saw over the years. I thought they did a great job for being old farts! As Pete Townsend was doing his signature move, the rotator cuff guitar strum, all I could think was geez, I bet that’ll hurt in the morning. All in all a great game and event. Carrie was sounding awesome on the National Anthem … wanna see it just click here . See ya on the radio tomorrow
