Ouch. Country singer Brad Paisley took a nasty tumble at the finale of his American Saturday Night tour in Charleston, S.C. over the weekend. He was at the end of performing his encore finale, Alcohol, when he tripped on stage and fell, slamming into the stage set. He got up and waved goodbye to the crowd, then went backstage and was promptly taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Here’s a picture of his bruise from Brad’s Twitter page. Click HERE
Northern Michigan
9 03 2010This is kind of a “general blog” as I haven’t posted in awhile. Today, I stopped to think about where we live and work. This is such a beautiful part of the country and I’m blessed to be here. I have been at WTCM six years as of this month and it has been the best time of my life. My wife, Kim and I have been building a house and if all goes well, we should be moving in by the end of the month. I am looking forward to owning a chunk of northern Michigan.
Spring is coming and I can’t wait for Tiger baseball. Tickets went on sale Saturday and we got tickets to a game in June.
Thanks for listening and I’ll blog again soon

Chesney for Superbowl !!!
11 02 2010There are people who think KENNY CHESNEY should be the halftime performer at next year’s Super Bowl. And one of those people is Kenny Chesney. Kenny said “I would love to do halftime at the Super Bowl. That’d be fun.” But Kenny Chesney’s not the only one who thinks he’s the man for the job. Check out this Facebook page. Click HERE

BEER good for you?
9 02 2010Charles Bamforth and Troy Casey are food scientists at the University of California at Davis. They got sick of hearing about how healthy WINE is, so they set out to prove that BEER is just as good for you. After examining about 100 different beers, Charles and Troy determined that an average pint of beer contains about 15 milligrams of silicon. And though there’s no “official” daily recommendation for how much silicon a person should consume, experts think it’s probably ideal to take in between 20 and 50 milligrams a day. In other words, having two or three pints of beer a day could actually be GOOD for your health. (!!!)

Brad Paisley Concert – Saturday, January 23rd, Van Andel Arena
24 01 2010WOW! What a show! Kim and I met Justin Moore before the concert and we ran into Carey Carlson at the meet n’ greet. Carey handed us a couple of blue stickers while we were in line waiting to meet Justin. We looked at the stickers and they were MEET N’ GREET passes for BRAD PAISLEY. Thanks Carey! Brad is one of my favorite performers and this was the first time watching him take the stage. The man is a guitar genius and an amazing artist. When we got backstage, Kim asked Brad if he had a guitar pick in his pocket. He did and gave it to us. (I collect guitar picks). Justin Moore and Miranda Lambert were great. Of course we got pics

BIG Weekend
23 01 2010We’re down to the end of the Father Fred Frostbite Food Drive and we are in need of YOUR help. Please donate a few non-perishable food items or write a check. Do what you can. We know times are tough, but remember that Father Fred helps out families in Northern Michigan… so your donation stays LOCAL !!!
Kimberly (my bride) and I are heading to Grand Rapids to see Brad Paisley tonight. Carey Carlson is going too so between Carey and us, look for some pics soon… speaking of pics, I’m still working on getting WTCM Cruise pics up. Mentally, my wife and I are still in the Eastern Caribbean
This is also a big FOOTBALL weekend. The Indianapolis Colts play the NY Jets for the AFC Title and the New Orleans Saints will do battle with the Minnesota Vikings for the NFC title.
Whatever your plans, have a GREAT weekend!

WTCM Cruise Pictures
20 01 2010My beautiful wife Kimberly and I took a ton of pictures from the Eastern Caribbean cruise. We are in the process of compiling our pics with those of some of the listeners who joined us on the cruise. We are then planning on putting them all on a website for everyone to see. If you would like to see a sneak preview, I’m on Facebook. Do a friend search for “Mike Sinclair” and add me.
If you are one of the listeners who attended the cruise and you have pics to share, contact me and we’ll add them to the “collage”.
Speaking of the cruise, I want to personally thank all of the listeners who joined us and I want to thank Ross, Paul, Jack and Phil Parrott for letting my new bride and I host this year’s cruise. We had the time of our life and hope we can do it again. WTCM is our family and we are blessed to be a part of it.

WTCM Cruise Talent Show
20 01 2010The WTCM cruise was AMAZING. I sang karaoke the first night and was invited to be part of the talent show. It’s called “roman Night” with a toga theme and there were five “acts”. I sang “Desperado” by the Eagles. The band’s arrangement was a little weird, but it was a blast!
