I believe you can tell if a performer has serious chops when they can knock it out of the park while performing acoustic and singing acapella. Here’s a good example. It’s a video of RANDY HOUSER doing a raw version of “Boots On” during his USO trip to Iraq earlier this year. (–That’s Kellie Pickler and Jamey Johnson on stage with him, but they weren’t performing on this song.)

Most people know that Miranda Lambert is a huge animal lover, but have you heard about the farm she has going at home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma? Miranda recently revealed how many animals she has and what their names are. Here is the breakdown:

- 4 horses - Miss Emily, Sunny Jim, Zeus Troubadour and Lucky Star

- 3 miniature horses - Sugar Pie, Annie and Adriana

- 2 pot-belly pigs - Amos and Gideon

- Lots of chickens - Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens (she doesn’t name each one)

- 6 dogs - Jessie, Waylon, Delilah, Delta, Steve and Cher

Miranda had two donkeys but they got on her nerves so she found them a better home. She claims she’s done rescuing animals for now.

Well, Baseball season is underway and the Tigers won their first game Monday (yay). I hope they have a great season. Kim and I are almost moved into our new home and we should be closing any day now. It’s great to live and work in Traverse City. I have been at WTCM six years now. Oh, here’s a funny story. My wife and I were shopping at Meijer and I yelled over to her “hey honey, do we need butter” and a listener came over and asked if I was Mike Sinclair. She could tell by my voice. Then, it happened again at Home Depot! One of the guys working there said to me “now you hear me, now you…” nice! Make sure you listen for the At Work Free Money Song on WTCM.
